Jenks is located on the northeastern part of the Oklahoma State. It is a city in the Tulsa County situated between the Arkansas River and Route 75. The city has total land area of 17.73 square miles and has an estimated population of 23,767 as of 2019.
The city started as a community site established by the Midland Valley Railroad between Tulsa and Muskogee in 1904. The city was officially platted on July 15, 1905 around the same time petroleum was found there. Many small and large companies are located in the city such as Kimberly-Clark. However, it’s the city’s Richard Lloyd Jones Jr. Airport that stimulated the city’s economy.
